Kind of takes away from it - I mean, the cover is an integral part of the book, & if it may differ from what you see, why pay $116K for the collection? I want to see what I am getting personally.

ReplyDeleteThe thing that bothers me - and I love looking at all the various covers too - is this - am I really looking at the covers, or just a drawing that some artist did hoping it would be the final cover.
And I didn't mean to be picking on the sight - this little caveat pops up lots of places. But today, being Friday the 13th & all, it just really bugged me.
Back to reading the VanderMeers' STEAMPUNK book now . . .
