Greg Manchess’ Lord of Chaos extended video, the artist-edition
Because the awesome Megan Messinger is awesome, she has created a slightly extended version of Lord of Chaos video which includes “real-time” painting footage. Enjoy the artist-edition:
I'm fair certain that this is my favorite of the covers thus far (and considering the others, that's definitely saying something!) I can't help but feel sad, though, at how much of that, well, epic scale painting is not on the actual cover.
Oh, if a knit of a pick is excusable, I was wondering if the lack of leather bucklers on the Aiel and long swords on the Asha'man was for the sake of the composition?
Wow, that really is splitting hairs...as always, thank you for sharing!
Simply Glorious!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, and thank you! Always exciting to see Mr. Manchess at work.
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to see Greg in action ! Thanks for sharing it with us ! ^^
ReplyDeleteDefinition of epic. I could watch Greg paint all day.
ReplyDeleteFascinating how the main figures are very developed before other elements are painted in.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
The process itself is as amazing to look at as the finished painting! Thanks for this.
ReplyDeleteI need to meet this man. Just better and better.

I just can't believe how huge this canvas is... it just don't fit in my sphere of reality o_O' this piece is mindblowing.
