Is there anything more annoying than having to email an editor an artist’s website with a long list of instructions, "Go here. Click on that. Ten rows to the bottom. Three images in. Skip over that. Jump to this."

Ok, so a couple of things are more annoying, but please, peoples, give each image it's own address to live at. You’re much more likely to be forwarded to others that way.

Oh god yes. Most annoying thing, ever.

Great advice! BTW- thanks for the heads up on Pirates at the Field Museum- that venue isn't even listed on the official NatGeo site. Can't wait to see the Manchess murals. And that other stuff, too.

Yet another reason why Flash sites suck (he says, after sheepishly having taken his own Flash site offline recently).

Obviously, the artist doesn't want the job.

Personally, I am dismayed at the state of artists websites. Things don't work. The information in them is wrong. THEY HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATED IN 2-3 YEARS. The contact address no longer exists.

And these are artists who tout the digital age - "Of course digital art is art & it's the thing now." Oh? When are they going to join it?

Thanks for the insight Irene! It's always good to know what art directors are looking for!

Yep, and my site is an offender. I feel so embarrassed so much.

Well,I am in the process of revamping it so it will be better soon.

Flash is the guilty culprit here more than anything else. I agree, super annoying, and there is no reason for it.

Ces - you are right. Not updating is a terrible problem as well. I'll see some good from people, go to their site to see more only to find the best/newer work isn;t there. Another reason not to send work on to an editor. Dumb.

Well, one Tor artist updated their website - there's new stuff in it now. I wonder if the publication of Expose 6, which I got today along with the prints!, motivated them.
