Joe made the logo, Joe made the sculptured award. I think Joe owns stocks in Spectrum, haha. But yeah, thes two are really awesome.
DeVito's Spectrum illustration is perfect. It captures the triumphant anticipation of being selected by a jury for your abilities.
Two of my favorite contemporary science fiction and fantasy artists who have done a lot with Star Wars (Dave) and King Kong (Joe). They are a delight to meet for anyone who gets the chance. Met both artists at the Boston WorldCon in 2004.
Irene, your Master Class in Illustration workshop sounded great.
