MicroVisions 2

Last year Dan Dos Santos and I asked a group of artists to dedicate their time and talent to help raise money for the Society's student scholarship fund. Each artist created a miniature painting, 5x7, that was exhibited at the Society for a month and then auctioned on eBay. All of the proceeds went to the scholarship fund. That auction raised $5,700.00 for art students. We are very excited to announce this year's participants:

Patrick Arrasmith
Tristan Elwell
Eric Fortune
Donato Giancola
Rebecca Guay
John Harris
Steve Hickman
Bruce Jensen
Tom Kidd
Todd Lockwood
Red Nose Studio
Dave Seeley
Ashley Wood

The paintings will be on display in June and, once again, auctioned on eBay. I'll update this site as the paintings come in and the auction draws near.

The paintings for last year's show were excellent. I've always had a fondness for miniature paintings and look forward to seeing what artists of this caliber come up with this year.

Thanks, David. I think the artists had a lot of fun with the small format. Our biggest probelm last year was wanting to keep all the paintings for ourselves.

Irene,

Is there anywhere we can see these tasty little morsels???? could you maybe post a few if you have copies of them?

Sweet, Red Nose agreed to do one.

Tracy - I'll certainly post them as they come in. They are not due until mid May, though. I hope a few people do them early - it helps spur on the rest of the crowd. In the meantime, here is a better look at last year's:

Arkady - Yeah, I'm a HUGE Red Nose fan....In fact, this whole thing is rather self-serving. For this and Art Out Loud, we just keep asking artists that we love and want to be involved with to join in.
