In the comments section of the previous post, Charles Vess turned me onto Tove Jansson's take on The Hobbit -- and it is charming and fantastic. She also has an Alice in Wonderland that I am just loving. I'm looking forward to learning more about Tove Jansson.
Charles - You need to start some kind of "Artist of the Day/Week/Month" blog. 'Cause, like, you have tons of free time, right?

I just wondered if you're familiar with the Artist a Day website? It's at http://www.artistaday.com/
I've been enjoying it for several weeks now.
Now those I just LOVE! I cannot wait to spend more time over on that site when I have a free moment.
Wow, beautiful! Thanks for the tip!
Tove Jansson is awesome! You have to read the "Moomin" books. You just have to.
Hi!
I had to giggle with this post of yours. I'm Portuguese come often to your blog and get amazed with all the american artists I discover through it. But then, suddenly, when you don´t know the work of the Finnish Tove Jansson I realize how big this Atlantic cultural gap really is. For me "moomins" is almost a sinonim of childhood. Read "Moominland midwinter" as soon as you can. It´s the literary masterpiece that it´s warmer than hot cocoa.
Couldn't agree more.
Tove's work is brilliant.
If you wander over to briansibley.blogspot.com and do a search you'll find a couple of posts that Brian, who was one of her friends, wrote.
Do you like playing the game where you need to use wow gold, when you do not have World of Warcraft Gold, you must borrow warcraft gold from friends, or you buy wow gold. If you get cheap wow gold, you can continue this game.
